Hadith 1196
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed ghusl after janabah, he would first wash both his hands, then perform wudu as he would for prayer. Then he would put his hand into the water and run his fingers through the roots of his hair, then pour three handfuls of water over his head, and then pour water over his entire body.
