Chapter on Nullifiers of Ablution – Clarification that drinking milk does not require ablution
Hadith 1159
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَرِبَ لَبَنًا ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَمَضْمَضَ وَقَالَ : " إِنَّ لَهُ دَسَمًا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) drank milk, then he asked for water, rinsed his mouth, and said: "It has greasiness in it."
