Chapter on Nullifiers of Ablution – Permission to pray after eating meat cooked by fire without washing hands or mouth
Hadith 1153
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ أَبُو بَدْرٍ ، بِحَرَّانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكَلَ عَرْقًا مِنْ شَاةٍ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَمَضْمَضْ ، وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ مَاءً " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) eat goat meat, then he performed prayer. He did not rinse his mouth nor did he touch water (i.e., he did not perform ablution again).
