Chapter on Nullifiers of Ablution – Third report explicitly stating that the shoulder the Prophet (peace be upon him) ate and then prayed without renewing ablution was sheep shoulder, not camel shoulder
Hadith 1142
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكَلَ كَتِفَ شَاةٍ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ فَصَلَّى ، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَمْ يَتَمَضْمَضْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the meat of a goat’s shoulder and then got up to perform prayer. He performed the prayer without renewing his ablution and without rinsing his mouth.
