Hadith 1134
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: The last practice transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the two types of matters is that he did not perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire. Imam Abu Hatim says: This is a brief narration which is part of a lengthy hadith; the narrator named Shu‘aib bin Abu Hamzah has summarized it. He was under the impression that this is an absolute hadith about the abrogation of the obligation of ablution after eating something cooked on fire. Whereas, in reality, this abrogates the obligation of ablution after eating something cooked on fire only in the case when that cooked thing is other than camel meat.
