Hadith 1129
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed by a pot, and he ate from it a piece of meat with bone, then he performed prayer and did not renew his ablution. Imam Abu Hatim (may Allah have mercy on him) states: The statement of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that "he ate it" refers to the meat attached to the bone. Eating the bone itself is not meant. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that then he ate it, refers to the meat that was attached to the bones. Eating the bone itself is not meant.
