Hadith 1123
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُلازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْنَا سِتَّةً وَفْدًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، خَمْسَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي حَنِيفَةَ وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي ضُبَيْعَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَبَايَعْنَاهُ وَصَلَّيْنَا مَعَهُ ، وَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ أَنَّ بِأَرْضِنَا بَيْعَةً لَنَا ، وَاسْتَوْهَبْنَاهُ مِنْ فَضْلِ طُهُورِهِ ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ وَتَمَضْمَضَ ، وَصَبَّ لَنَا فِي إِدَاوَةٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اذْهَبُوا بِهَذَا الْمَاءِ ، فَإِذَا قَدِمْتُمْ بَلَدَكُمْ ، فَاكْسِرُوا بِيعَتَكُمْ ، ثُمَّ انْضَحُوا مَكَانَهَا مِنْ هَذَا الْمَاءِ ، وَاتَّخِذُوا مَكَانَهَا مَسْجِدًا " . فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْبَلَدُ بَعِيدٌ ، وَالْمَاءُ يَنْشَفُ ، قَالَ : " فَأَمِدُّوهُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لا يَزِيدُهُ إِلا طِيبًا " . فَخَرَجْنَا فَتَشَاحَحْنَا عَلَى حَمْلِ الإِدَاوَةِ أَيُّنَا يَحْمِلُهَا ، فَجَعَلَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَوْبًا لِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنَّا يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً ، فَخَرَجْنَا بِهَا حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا بَلَدَنَا فَعَمِلْنَا الَّذِي أَمَرَنَا ، وَرَاهِبُ ذَلِكَ الْقَوْمِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ طَيِّئٍ ، فَنَادَيْنَا بِالصَّلاةِ ، فَقَالَ الرَّاهِبُ : دَعْوَةُ حَقٍّ ، ثُمَّ هَرَبَ فَلَمْ يُرَ بَعْدُ . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : فِي هَذَا الْخَبَرِ بَيَانٌ وَاضِحٌ أَنَّ طَلْقَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ رَجَعَ إِلَى بَلَدِهِ بَعْدَ الْقِدْمَةِ الَّتِي ذَكَرْنَا وَقْتَهَا ، ثُمَّ لا يُعْلَمُ لَهُ رُجُوعٌ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ . فَمَنِ ادَّعَى رُجُوعَهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِسُنَّةٍ مُصَرِّحَةٍ ، وَلا سَبِيلَ لَهُ إِلَى ذَلِكَ .
Qais bin Talq narrates from his father: We, a delegation of six people, presented ourselves before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Five of us belonged to Banu Hanifa and one person was from Banu Dubaiah bin Rabiah. We came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him). We accepted Islam at his blessed hand and performed prayer behind him. We informed him that there is a church in our area. We requested him to grant us the leftover water from his ablution. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) called for water. He performed ablution with it, rinsed his mouth, and then poured the water into a vessel for us. Then he said: Take this water, when you reach your area, demolish the church and sprinkle this water on that place, and build a mosque there. We said: O Messenger of Allah! Our area is very far. The water will dry up. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Keep adding water to it. As a result, its purity will only increase. The narrator says: When we set out from there, a dispute arose among us as to who would carry the vessel of water. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) assigned each of us a turn for one day and one night. We set off with it until we reached our area. We did exactly as the Prophet (peace be upon him) had instructed us. The monk of that tribe was a man from the Tay tribe. When we gave the call to prayer, the monk said: This is the call to truth, and then he ran away. After that, he was not seen again. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) In this narration, it is clearly stated that Sayyiduna Talq bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) returned to his area after presenting himself before the Prophet (peace be upon him). This is from the time which we have mentioned. After that, there is no information about his coming to Madinah again. Whoever claims that he came to Madinah again, it is necessary for him to present a hadith in which this is explicitly mentioned, and such a hadith cannot be found.
