Chapter on Nullifiers of Ablution – Clarification that the ruling is the same for one who touches intentionally or forgetfully
Hadith 1120
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ بِعَسْقَلانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُلازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسُ بْنُ طَلْقٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَتَاهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ أَحَدَنَا يَكُونُ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَيَحْتَكُّ فَتُصِيبُ يَدُهُ ذَكَرَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَهَلْ هُوَ إِلا بَضْعَةٌ مِنْكَ أَوْ مُضْغَةٌ مِنْكَ " .
Qais bin Talq narrates, my father told me this: We were present with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes one of us is in the state of prayer, he feels an itch, and his hand reaches his private part. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: That (private part) is a part of your body. The narrator is unsure, perhaps the words are: a lump of flesh from your body.
