Hadith 1080
Ubaidullah Khawlani narrates this statement from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me after he had urinated. He asked for water for ablution. We brought water to him in a large vessel which could hold one mudd of water. It was placed before him, so Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Shall I not show you how the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution in front of you? I said: May my parents be sacrificed for you (please do so). The narrator states: Then Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) washed both his hands. He rinsed his mouth, put water in his nose, and cleaned his nose. Then he took water in his right hand and splashed it on his face (and washed it), until he completed the entire ablution.
