Hadith 1070
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ زُهَيْرٍ ، بِتُسْتَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَبِيرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مَطْهَرَةٌ لِلْفَمِ ، مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is obligatory upon you to use the miswak, for it cleanses the mouth and is a means of earning the pleasure of the Lord."
