Hadith 1033
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى التُّسْتَرِيُّ ، بِعَبَّادَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَارِ السُّوءِ فِي دَارِ الْمُقَامَةِ ، فَإِنَّ جَارَ الْبَادِي يَتَحَوَّلُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say (i.e., make this supplication): "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from a bad neighbor in the permanent abode, for the worldly neighbor can be changed."
