Chapter of Supplications - Requirement for Muslims to ask Allah to bless their crops instead of relying solely on rain
Hadith 995
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَتِ السَّنَةُ بِأَنْ لا تُمْطَرُوا ، وَلَكِنِ السَّنَةُ أَنْ تُمْطَرُوا ، وَأَنْ تُمْطَرُوا ، وَلا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ شَيْئًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Drought is not that rain does not fall upon you; drought is that rain falls upon you again and again, but the earth does not produce any greenery.
