Chapter of Supplications - Description of the supplications of the distressed
Hadith 970
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَلِيلِ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " دَعَوَاتُ الْمَكْرُوبِ : اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو ، فَلا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ ، لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakrah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The supplication of a person in distress is this: "O Allah! I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye, and set all my affairs right. There is no deity except You."
