Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me something that I may recite in the morning and evening. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite this: "O Allah! Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Master of everything, I bear witness that there is no deity except You. I seek Your protection from the evil of my own self, from the evil of Satan and his shirk." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite this in the morning, in the evening, and when you lie down on your bed.
