Hadith 951
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَهْضَمٍ مُوسَى بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ ؟ قَالَ : " سَلِ اللَّهَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَا أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ ؟ قَالَ : " سَلِ اللَّهَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He said, "O Messenger of Allah! What should I ask from Allah Almighty?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness and well-being." He again inquired, "What should I ask from Allah Almighty?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness and well-being."
