Ibn Hibban

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will say to a servant: O son of Adam, I was ill but you did not visit Me. The servant will say: O my Lord, how could I visit You, while You are the Lord of all the worlds? Allah Almighty will say: Did you not know that My such-and-such servant was ill, but you did not visit him? Did you not know that if you had visited him, you would have found its reward with Me? Then Allah Almighty will say: I asked you for water to drink, but you did not give Me water to drink. The servant will say: O my Lord, how could I give You something to drink, while You are the Lord of all the worlds? Allah Almighty will say: Did you not know, My such-and-such servant asked you for water, but you did not give him water? Did you not know that if you had given him water to drink, you would have found its reward with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you for food, but you did not give Me food. The servant will say: O my Lord, how could I feed You, while You are the Lord of all the worlds? Allah Almighty will say: Did you not know that My such-and-such servant asked you for food, but you did not give him food? If you had given him food, you would have found its reward with Me."
