Hadith 939
أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْقَزَّازُ ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ دُعَاءٍ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً ، وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً ، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " . فَلَقِيتُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَكْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا : " رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً ، وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً ، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " .
Abdul Aziz bin Suhaib narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): Tell me about a supplication that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make. He replied: (The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to make this supplication) "O Allah! Grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of Hell." The narrator states: I met Ismail and asked him about this, so he said: (The wording of the narration is) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would often make this supplication: "Our Lord! Grant us goodness in this world and also goodness in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of Hell."
