Hadith 911
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ عَلَيَّ صَلاةً " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : فِي هَذَا الْخَبَرِ دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْقِيَامَةِ يَكُونُ أَصْحَابُ الْحَدِيثِ ، إِذْ لَيْسَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ قَوْمٌ أَكْثَرَ صَلاةٍ عَلَيْهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “On the Day of Resurrection, the person closest to me will be the one who sent the most blessings (salat) upon me in the world.”
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says: This narration contains evidence that on the Day of Resurrection, the closest to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the experts of hadith, because no other group from this Ummah sends more blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) than these people.)
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says: This narration contains evidence that on the Day of Resurrection, the closest to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the experts of hadith, because no other group from this Ummah sends more blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) than these people.)
