Hadith 883
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَاهِرًا يَدَيْهِ يَدْعُو عَلَى مِنْبَرٍ وَلا غَيْرِهِ ، وَلَكِنْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَقُولُ هَكَذَا " ، وَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : بِأُصْبُعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ مِنْ يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى يُقَوِّسُهَا .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with both his hands spread out, whether on the pulpit or elsewhere. I only saw him do like this. The narrator named Abu Sa’id gestured with the finger of his right hand and bent it slightly.
