Chapter on Recitation of the Quran – Explaining that loving Surat Al-Ikhlas and persisting in its recitation leads to Paradise
Hadith 794
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا كَانَ يَلْزَمُ قِرَاءَةَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ سورة الإخلاص آية 1 فِي الصَّلاةِ مَعَ كُلِّ سُورَةٍ ، وَهُوَ يَؤُمُّ بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فِيهِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أُحِبُّهَا ، قَالَ : " حُبُّهَا أَدْخَلَكَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man used to regularly recite Surah Ikhlas along with every Surah in prayer, and he would also lead his companions in prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him about this, so he replied: I love this Surah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your love for this Surah will admit you to Paradise.
