Hadith 732
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ ، فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ فَقُومُوا عَنْهُ " .
Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates as a marfu’ hadith: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Recite the Qur’an as long as your hearts are inclined towards it, and when your attention begins to wander, then get up (and leave its recitation).”
