Hadith 710
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ الأَخْرَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَتَّخِذُوا الضَّيْعَةَ ، فَتَرْغَبُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا " قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ وَمَا بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، وَبِرَاذَانَ وَمَا بِرَاذَانَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not accumulate much provision, you will become inclined towards the world.” Sayyiduna Abdullah says: Whatever is in “Madina” is in Madina, and whatever is in “Razaan” is in Razaan.
