Chapter on Poverty, Asceticism, and Contentment – Necessity of not being deceived by those who have been given this fleeting world
Hadith 691
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، وَمَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مَاذَا أُنْزِلَ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ ؟ وَمَاذَا فُتِحَ مِنَ الْخَزَائِنِ ؟ أَيْقِظُوا صَوَاحِبَ الْحُجَرِ ، فَرُبَّ كَاسِيَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، عَارِيَةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: One night the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah, the Exalted, is free from every defect. How many tribulations have been sent down and how many doors of treasures have been opened. Wake up the women who are in the chamber, for many women who are veiled in this world will be unveiled on the Day of Resurrection.”
