Hadith 679
أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدِّيلِيُّ ، بِأَنْطَاكِيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّدَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ ، إِنَّمَا الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "Prosperity does not come from having abundant wealth; true prosperity is contentment of the heart."
