Chapter on Having Good Expectations of Allah – Encouragement for Muslims to have good expectations of Allah
Hadith 637
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ السَّبَّاكُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ بِثَلاثٍ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ لا يَمُوتَ إِلا وَظَنُّهُ بِاللَّهِ حَسَنٌ ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say three days before his passing: "Whoever among you is able, at the time of death, to have good expectations from Allah Almighty, then he should do so."
