Hadith 634
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ الْغَازِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حَيَّانُ أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلا ، قَالَ : " أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي ، فَلْيَظُنَّ بِي مَا شَاءَ " .
Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) quoting the statement of Allah, the Exalted: “I am as My servant thinks of Me. So let him think of Me as he wishes.”
