Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Warning against removing someone from his seat and then sitting in it
Hadith 587
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ رَجُلا مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ فِيهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No person should ever make another get up from his place so that he himself may sit there."
