Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Allah shades those who love each other for His sake under His shade on the Day of Judgment
Hadith 574
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُبَابِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى : أَيْنَ الْمُتَحَابُّونَ بِجَلالِي ؟ الْيَوْمَ أُظِلُّهُمْ فِي ظِلِّي ، يَوْمَ لا ظِلَّ إِلا ظِلِّي " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty says: Where are those who loved one another for My Majesty’s sake? Today I will grant them My shade of mercy. On a day when there is no shade except My shade.”
