Hadith 556
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ وَلا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ كَعَمَلِهِمْ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّكَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، قَالَ : " أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He said, "O Messenger of Allah! A person loves a certain people, but he is not able to act like them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Abu Dharr! You will be with those whom you love." Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Abu Dharr! You will be with those whom you love."
