Section on Righteousness and Kindness – Hope of Allah’s forgiveness for one who removes harm from the path of Muslims
Hadith 537
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ ، وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ ، فَأَخَّرَهُ ، فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ، فَغَفَرَ لَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Once a man was walking along a path when he came across a thorny branch in the way. He removed it, so Allah Almighty accepted this deed of his and forgave him."
