Section on Righteousness and Kindness – Allah relieves distress on the Day of Judgment for those who relieve Muslims’ distress in this world
Hadith 534
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ ذَرِيحٍ بِعُكْبَرَا ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ سَتَرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ ، وَمَنْ فَرَّجَ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ كُرْبَةً ، فَرَّجَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever conceals the faults of his Muslim brother, Allah Almighty will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. And whoever relieves a Muslim of a difficulty, Allah Almighty will relieve him of the difficulties of the Day of Judgment. And Allah Almighty remains engaged in helping the servant as long as the servant is engaged in helping his brother."
