Hadith 532
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرَ مُكْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : لَدَغَتْ رَجُلا مِنَّا عَقْرَبٌ وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيهِ ؟ فقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: One of us was stung by a scorpion. We were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). A man said: Shall I perform ruqyah (incantation) for him? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Whoever among you can benefit his brother, he should do so.
