Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and complained to him about his neighbor. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him three times, "Be patient." Then, on the fourth time, or perhaps the third time, he said: "Put your belongings in the street." The man did so. The narrator states: When people would pass by him, they would ask: "What happened to you?" He would say that his neighbor had caused him harm. So the people would say: "May Allah curse him." Then his neighbor came and said: "Take your belongings back. By Allah, I will never harm you again."
