Hadith 497
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لِيُسَلِّمِ الْفَارِسُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي ، وَالْمَاشِي عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ ، وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ " .
Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "The rider should greet the one who is walking, and the one who is walking should greet the one who is sitting, and the smaller group should greet the larger group."
