Chapter on Good Character – Good character is among the best gifts in this world.
Hadith 478
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ ذَرِيحٍ بِعُكْبَرَا ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، وَالثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاقَةَ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَفْضَلُ مَا أُعْطِيَ الْمَرْءُ الْمُسْلِمُ ؟ قَالَ : " حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ " .
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Of the things given to a Muslim servant, which is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Good character.
