Chapter on Ties of Kinship and Severing Them – The Prophet’s urging, in his final illness, to maintain family ties.
Hadith 436
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ فِي مَرَضِهِ : " أَرْحَامَكُمْ أَرْحَامَكُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said during his illness (before passing away): "Take care of the rights of your relatives, take care of the rights of your relatives."
