باب حق الوالدين - ذكر استحباب بر المرء خالته إذا لم يكن له والدان
Chapter on Parents’ Rights – It is recommended to honor one’s maternal aunt if one has no parents.
Hadith 435
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بِنَسَا ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُوقَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَجُلٌ ، فقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا كَبِيرًا ، فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ تَوْبَةٍ ؟ فقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَكَ وَالِدَانِ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لا ، قَالَ : " فَلَكَ خَالَةٌ " ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : " فَبِرَّهَا إِذًا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He said: O Messenger of Allah! I have committed many sins. Is there any room for repentance for me? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked him: Are your parents alive? He replied: No. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked: Do you have a maternal aunt? He replied: Yes. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Then treat her well.
