Hadith 382
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah the Exalted says: (O angels!) When My servant intends to commit an evil deed, do not record it until he acts upon it. If he does act upon it, then record it as one evil deed. If he leaves it for My sake, then record it as one good deed. If he intends to do a good deed, then record it as a good deed. If he also acts upon that good deed, then record it as tenfold up to seven hundredfold (reward and recompense).”
