Abu Kathir Suhaimi narrates from his father: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him), "Guide me to such a deed that when a servant performs it, he will enter Paradise." Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should have faith in Allah, the Exalted." Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I asked, O Messenger of Allah! Will there be any deed along with faith?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He should give a little from the sustenance Allah has given him (in the way of Allah)." I said, "What if he is a person who has nothing?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He should say a good word with his tongue." I said, "What if he is so incapacitated that he cannot say anything with his tongue?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He should help an overpowered person." I said, "What if he is so weak that he cannot even do that?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then he should do some work for a disabled person." I said, "What if he himself is disabled?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards me and said, "If you do not want to leave any good remaining for this person, then he should keep people safe from his harm." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Are these words for the sake of making things easy?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, whoever among the servants does any of these deeds and seeks reward from Allah through it, then this deed will take him by the hand on the Day of Resurrection and admit him into Paradise."
Imam Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Abu Kathir Suhaimi's name is Yazid bin Abdur Rahman Udhaynah, and he was from Yamamah and among the trustworthy narrators.
