Chapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – It is recommended to accept concessions and not overburden oneself with acts of obedience.
Hadith 354
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الذَّارِعُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مِحْصَنٍ حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُؤْتَى رُخَصُهُ ، كَمَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُؤْتَى عَزَائِمُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty likes that His concession be accepted, just as He likes that His obligatory commands be acted upon."
