Hadith 334
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) attended a funeral. He took a twig and began to scratch the ground with it. Then he said: "A specific place in Hell or Paradise has been assigned for each one of you." So a man asked: "Should we not rely (on this)?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should act, for each person will find (his specific deeds) made easy for him." Then he recited this verse: "So whoever gives and fears (Allah) and affirms goodness, We will ease him toward ease. But whoever withholds and considers himself free of need and denies goodness, We will ease him toward difficulty."
