Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and from his face I realized that he was not in a good mood. He performed ablution and did not talk to anyone. Then he went outside. I stood by the door of the chamber so that I could hear what he would say: He sat on the pulpit, praised and glorified Allah Almighty, then said: O people! Indeed, Allah the Blessed and Exalted has commanded you to enjoin good and forbid evil. Before you ask me for supplication and I do not accept your supplication, before you ask me for something and I do not grant it to you, before you ask me for help and I do not help you. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) only said these words, and then descended from the pulpit.
