باب الصدق والأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر - ذكر الزجر عن السكوت للمرء عن الحق إذا رأى المنكر أو عرفه ما لم يلق بنفسه إلى التهلكة-
Chapter: Truthfulness, Commanding Good, and Forbidding Evil – Warning against remaining silent about the truth when witnessing or knowing evil, unless it endangers oneself
Hadith 278
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ مَخَافَةُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِحَقٍّ رَآهُ أَوْ عَرَفَه " ، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : فَمَا زَالَ بِنَا الْبَلاءُ حَتَّى قَصَرْنَا وَإِنَّا لَنَبْلُغُ فِي الشَّرِّ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The fear of people should not prevent any person from speaking the truth, when a man sees it or knows that (it is appropriate to speak the truth here)." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Trials kept befalling us continuously, until we fell short. Now we are in a bad situation.
