Hadith 259
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي ، بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ ، فَقَالَ : أَصَلَّيْتُمَا الْعَصْرَ ؟ قَالَ : فَقُلْنَا : لا ، قَالَ : فَصَلِّيَا عِنْدَكُمَا فِي الْحُجْرَةِ ، فَفَرَغْنَا وَطَوَّلَ هُوَ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَيْنَا ، فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَا كَلَّمَنَا بِهِ أَنْ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تِلْكَ صَلاةُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ ، يُمْهِلُ أَحَدُهُمْ حَتَّى كَانَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ ، قَامَ فَنَقَرَ أَرْبَعًا لا يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا إِلا قَلِيلا " .
Alaa bin Abdur Rahman narrates: I was present in the service of Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), I and another companion with me. We visited him after the Zuhr prayer, so he inquired: "Have you people performed the Asr prayer?" We replied: "No!" So he said: "Both of you perform the prayer in the room." When we finished, he performed a lengthy prayer. When he turned towards us after completing his prayer, the first thing he said to us was: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the prayer of the hypocrites. One of them keeps delaying the prayer until the sun is between the two horns of Satan, then he stands up and pecks four times (performs the prayer hastily), and he remembers Allah very little in that prayer."
