Hadith 252
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "On the Day of Resurrection, a man will take his father's hand and wish to enter him into Paradise, but it will be proclaimed: Indeed, no polytheist will enter Paradise. Indeed, Allah the Exalted has made Paradise forbidden for every polytheist. Then that servant will say: O my Lord! This is my father. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Then his father will become extremely ugly and extremely foul-smelling, so that person will leave him. Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, states: The companions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, used to think: This is about Sayyiduna Ibrahim, peace be upon him. However, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, did not use more words than these (which have already been mentioned in this narration)."
