Hadith 248
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَكْفَرَ رَجُلٌ رَجُلا قَطُّ إِلا بَاءَ أَحَدُهُمَا بِهَا إِنْ كَانَ كَافِرًا وَإِلا كَفَرَ بِتَكْفِيرِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever a person calls another person a disbeliever, then that disbelief returns to one of the two. If the (other person) is indeed a disbeliever (then it is correct), otherwise the first person, due to calling him a disbeliever, himself becomes a disbeliever."
Hadith 249
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٌ قَالَ لأَخِيهِ كَافِرٌ ، فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِهِ أَحَدُهُمَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet: "Whoever calls his brother a disbeliever, then this (disbelief) returns to one of the two."
