Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Who will tell me about a tree whose example is like that of a believing servant, whose foundation is strong, and its branches are in the sky? It gives fruit at all times by the permission of its Lord." Sayyiduna Abdullah says: I intended to say that it is the date-palm tree, but due to the presence of my father, I could not do so. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is the date-palm tree. (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates later) I mentioned this to my father, so he said: If you had said this at that time, it would have been more beloved to me. The narrator says: I think the words in the narration are: more beloved than red camels.
