Chapter: Qualities of the Believers
Hadith 229
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلامِ الْمَرْءِ تَرْكُهُ مَا لا يَعْنِيهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Part of the perfection of a person's Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him."
Hadith 230
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ بِفَمِّ الصِّلْحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ بَيَانِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ ، وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَاجَرَ مَا نَهَى الِلَّهِ عَنْهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A Muslim is the one from whose hand and tongue other Muslims are safe, and a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who abandons what Allah the Exalted has forbidden."
