Chapter: Obligation of Faith – Clarification of Allah’s favor upon the righteous convert by multiplying his good deeds
Hadith 228
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هُمَامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَحْسَنَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِسْلامَهُ ، فَكُلُّ حَسَنَةٍ يَعْمَلُهَا بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ ، وَكُلُّ سَيِّئَةٍ يَعْمَلُهَا يُكْتَبُ لَهُ مِثْلُهَا حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللَّهَ جَلَّ وَعَلا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person's Islam becomes good, then every good deed he does is rewarded for him from ten times up to seven hundred times, and every evil deed that he commits is recorded as one evil deed, until that person appears before Allah, the Exalted."
