باب فرض الإيمان - ذكر البيان بأن الجنة إنما تجب لمن أتى بما وصفنا وقرن ذلك بالإقرار بالجنة والنار وآمن بعيسى صلى الله عليه وسلم-
Chapter: Obligation of Faith – Clarification that Paradise is only guaranteed for one who fulfills these conditions and affirms belief in Paradise, Hell, and Jesus
Hadith 207
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُمَيْرُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي جُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، وَأَنَّ عِيسَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُ ، وَأَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ حَقٌّ ، أَدْخَلَهُ الِلَّهِ مِنْ أَيِّ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ الثَّمَانِيَةِ شَاءَ " .
Sayyiduna Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever testifies that there is no deity except Allah, He is One, He has no partner, and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger; that Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) is Allah’s servant, His Messenger, and His word which He bestowed upon Maryam (Mary, may Allah be pleased with her), and a spirit from Him; that Paradise and Hell are true—then Allah will admit him into Paradise through whichever of its eight gates he wishes."
